The cross-vag expanse journey begins with a private car from Yogyakarta to East Java to hunt sunrise on Mount Bromo using Jeep 4×4, then followed by a midnight hike in Ijen Crater to witness the rare phenomenon of Blue Fire and a stunning toska acid lake before finally the trip is completed with a drop-off at the Port of Ferries in Ketapang Banyuwangi, Surabaya, or crosses directly to your last place in Bali.
Itinerary Bromo and Ijen 3D2N from Yogyakarta
Day 1: Yogyakarta to Mount Bromo
At 9:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in Yogyakarta and drive approximately 9 hours to Mount Bromo. After a lunch stop in Caruban, check in at the charming Yoschi’s Hotel. Enjoy a relaxing dinner and free time to rest.
Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour to Mount Ijen
Wake up for a 3:00 AM morning call. A 4WD Jeep will take you to Mt. Penanjakan (2,770m) to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Tengger Caldera, Mt. Bromo, and Mt. Semeru. Next, hike to the active crater of Mt. Bromo. Return to the hotel for breakfast and a shower before a 9:00 AM drive to Mount Ijen. Check in at the historic Arabica or Catimor Hotel, followed by dinner and a briefing for the next day.
Day 3: Ijen Blue Fire Tour & Drop-Off (Bali or Surabaya)
Depart at midnight (or 5:00 AM for regular tour) to Paltuding, the starting point for a 2-hour trek to Kawah Ijen. Witness the world-famous electric Blue Fire and the stunning turquoise acid lake. You will also see local sulfur miners at work. Afterward, we will transfer you to your final destination: Surabaya, Ketapang Ferry Port, or Bali (Lovina/Kuta/Denpasar). Tour ends.
